"Farewell"

Sadly my brother-in-law Steven Harris died on the 22nd June 2012.  Steven was
diagnosed with cancer in February this year and fortunately did not suffer too long.
He was just 54 year old which is far too young to die, may he now rest in peace.

A Very British "Thank You" Card

After a recent fundraising event this card was made to thank Dr Ian Dewhirst MBE
for his humourous, informative talk on 'Life betetween the Wars'.  Our Breathe Easy
Air Valley Group  raised £450 from this event.  I feel the card is very appropriate for this occassion......enjoy

Birthday Book final pages

The completed book was covered on the outer layer with acetate and finished off with pretty ribbons and tags.  This make a super gift for someone special.

Life is Fun!

I made this card with brown wrapping paper cardstock.  It is a tent fold card with a pleated stand inside (should have taken a side view!).  The cream lattice oval makes a nice centre feature.  The flower is made from old book pages, peeled paint distress inks to colour it, frilly lace border black centre brad.  A black gingham ribbon with green button finishes off this pretty little card.

Leafy Lattice

Glad my friend Margaret isn't online otherwise she would have seen the birthday card I made for her.
Made with the spellbinders lattice border dies laced together with organza ribbon.  The two layered behind are stuck together with double sided tape with glitter poured into the holes creating a shimmered effect(difficult to see in the photo)  The bottom layer is a white doily which has been colour tinted with broken china distress inks, the ribbon and leaf dies colour tinted also layered together, topped off with a pretty button and stick pin to finish.....enjoy.

Tinkering with Patch

After recently delving into patchwork I thought hey, this could work for paper so this is my creation using 9 squares of plain/patterned paper gluing them to a piece of cardstock and then cutting them up.
I was quite pleased with the result hope you are too!

MY COUNTRY COTTAGE!

I wish it was my country cottage.  Another decoupage topped stepper card.  Decoupage is not
my fondest thing as my eyes are not a young as they should be but, I still enjoed making this card.

FRILLY MOTHERS DAY CARD

Tried  thinking outside the box with these new dies from Spellbinders.  Try turning the corners inwards
and make this pretty cross design, used cosmic shimmer pearlised glue for the tiny bead centres.

LATTICE SPELLBINDER DIES

Thanks to Sue Wilson and her new design dies for the Spellbinders range.  This card was made by using the borders and corners dies.  Thanks to Sue for all her inspiration on Create & Craft.

SPRINGTIME

Finally got a new camera hence been out of action for a while on my blog.  Cost me £20 to find out my old camera could be fixed at a cost of £120 no guarantees so took the plunge and bought a new one.  Bought the same camera just an updated version of the older one which I had for over 5 years, cannot fault the Panasonic Lumix range.

A pretty card using pansy decoupage, Martha Stewart border punch and spellbinders die cuts...enjoy!
